Columbus would be tempted by that 2nd rounder, though we'd rather it be in 2020. And Anderson isn't signing for more than one year if you offer him that little.

VGK counters with Tuch, McNabb, Kolesar and 1st for McAvoy.

That's pretty much the value equivalent of that VGK trade...

Vegas says no, theodore was awesome. 2 1sts and a real good prospect for 1 year of rask, even half price. They could move one of those 1sts and get keumper if they need a goalie.

Two firsts and a really solid prospect for one year of Rask? I don't care if his cap hit is negative $3.5M, that's not gonna happen.

Don’t think the Vegas or Colorado trades would happen. Sweeney isn’t going to retain salary on Rask either.

Elliot Friedman said this next year is all in for the Avs. The one obvious hole in the boat for the Avs is goaltending. Rask is going to win the Vezina this year most likely. And getting him at 3.5 will bode well for Joe Sakic seeing how he won’t have a ton of room assuming he makes other additions. Right now this trade seems lopsided for Boston yes. However, the goalie Market is about to change big time. A number of top teir goalies are probably on the move this free agency. So if it’s Bowers, a first and a roster player/ depth piece ok. But I guarantee you the asking price for Rask starts at a blue chip prospect, First , and a Roster player. Rask is an elite goalie, probably winning the Vezina and at an affordable cap hit.

Vegas ya maybe the more I look at it. That is going to be the asking price for an elite goalie who comes off a Vezina season. Blue chip prospect, First, and then some. Maybe not another first. Depends on the market at the draft but could be a roster player instead

The more I look at the Trade you’re right, I think Vaak needs to be included.

Nah. The problem is Theodore himself. He's not moving. He's great and his contract is simply insane.

Only McAvoy will move the guy, and we both know that won't ever happen.

Nobody is going to give up 3 firsts for a goalie with 1 year left, 1 foot out the door, and just quit on his team.

I’d be happy with Grubbauer and Compher. If you could squeeze a 2nd or 3rd out of them...great. If not, i’d still take it.

A second round pick for Rask is the equivalent of the Jimmy Garopplo trade for the Patriots.

You are overestimating his current trade value, trade value of goalies in general, and the current situation altogether. Going to be a difficult year to move $$$.

Why wouldn't COL just send a 1st to PIT for Murray and then they'd still have a 1st + Bowers left over to play with? Not to mention Rask (and I'm maybe the biggest Rask supporter on this site) is not worth two 1st + a prospect. He maybe fetches you one 1st rounder at the TDL if he's having a vezina like year, Boston is out and a contender just lost their #1 goalie for the season.

Because Rask is better than Murray. And Murray has a lot of question marks going into this season coming off a down year. If I’m going all in on a cup run for one year I’d rather have a known commoditie in net than taking a risk at have your net be a puddle
