People need to stop thinking Ryan is a cap dump lol, he's worth his contract, it's just a luxury we can't afford (see: Kapanen on the Leafs. Worth his deal, but they couldn't afford that luxury). He's a very good defensive bottom 6 centre who can get 10 goals a year as well. If Buffalo doesn't need that that's fine (they don't have anybody signed rn though) but that's what he provides, and he is worth his contract and positive trade value in the 3rd-5th round pick range.

Also that Hanifin deal is atrocious. Maybe if it was for 7oa and no 2nd involved, otherwise there's no reason to trade a 23yo top 4D locked up to term under 5mil.

Zero right handed wingers on the entire team. At one point this season (when Lindholm played center) they were 1 of 2 teams with that problem in the entire league, the other being Detroit. It can't be an option ever if you are expecting success

The pick you have selected is Vancouver's which is 20oa. And yeah the 2nd should be adjusted to not being there, Hanifin is good, young, and controlled which are all huge assets. I'm not sure Vali is ready for top 4 minutes after not playing for a year but everywhere else is improved slightly or the same (Hoffman+Kuemper+Dumba are good adds, Crouse and Blackwell are probably a downgrade on Ryan's defensive ability but it's similar probably) so it's difficult to complain too much. Hopefully he comes out flying

Blackwell is solid defensively. Crouse has hands is tough to play against.
