Better be a dam good player at 12 to give so much away. I can’t see this being a good trade for Ottawa.

Winnipeg's first pick, 10th overall, is worth pretty close to the 28th & 59th overall combined, the two Islanders picks the Senators currently own, but adding two more second round picks, and a former first round pick in Logan Brown, could be seen as an over payment. I would value Brown pretty close to Eriksson-Ek. Eriksson-Ek is a year older, and drafted just slightly lower than Logan Brown. Brown has improved his AHL numbers to slightly better than Eriksson-Ek. Brown has taken an extra year to develop, but seems to have a slightly higher ceiling than Eriksson-Ek.

Eriksson-Ek draft +4 years he had 14 points in 58 NHL games for a PPG of 0.2414 (d+3 was 16 points in 75 games for a 0.2133 PPG)
Brown draft +4 years he had 8 points in 23 NHL games for a PPG of 0.3478

So imagine giving two picks for a higher first round pick, then adding two free second round picks and adding in Eriksson-Ek, and then you can realize how lopsided the offer was.
