Probably. But Lamoriello won't be sitting so pretty at the start of next season when he has $8.9 mil to sign Barzal, Toews, and Pulock. Somethings gotta give

I like the Pulock idea but 1. He takes more and 2. Lou could get more somewhere else

Lol, Islander fans jumping on Leafs ACGM right after they get eliminated, never would have guessed.

That’s an awful trade for COL. The funny thing is I think you know that because you tried to dress it up with a 4th (which is a throw away asset) and an ECHLer.) easy decline.

No. Honestly I just wanted Timmins and ran out of assets to give up. Once again, unrealistic but would be fun to watch.

Ask any Islander fan and it's easy, all they have to do is move 4-5 overpaid guys in a market where almost everyone wants to cut salary.

If a young RD could come in and be a realistic option, I would be willing to give up Liljegren for a future 1a goalie

What ahaha. That is possibly the most difficult thing to do this year. Not one team wants to take any one of those terrible contracts. They literally have about 4 guys on just horrendous contracts.

Honestly depending on what the true asking price is I think the Leafs should definitely think about putting in an offer. He is an absolute stud

I dont know how middle range starter numbers are very impressive. He was alright and one season does not a future starter make, especially one you pay that much to get

He made the trade my man. Can't help seeing the Isles logo on the home page. Then opening up to see something that weak of an offer? Get over yourself lol

I am guessing the NJD meant to include Cory Schneider instead of Blackwood? If not, just take both goalies out, and NJD would then have some interest.

Honestly, I respect that because of how good he has been. Obviously you watch him every night where I've only been able to evaluate him based on the times I've watched him play which is about a quarter of the season + his stats. As an Isles fan, what is his value?

Pulock (who likely won't be moved regardless - he's just too important) would have to fetch a legit top-6 scorer. Nylander would be the starting point. But again, you can argue Pelech-Pulock is a top-10 pairing in the league. I really don't want to break them up. Dobson will be a regular NHLer next year, but I don't want to throw a 20 year old on the top pair just yet.

Isles aren't in nearly as deep of cap hell as people think. Leddy is tradeable. Ladd likely to LTIR - don't think Lou will get any resistance. Can buy out/bury Hickey or Komarov in a worst case if unable to trade. And honestly, I would consider trading Cizikas before moving a guy like Pulock to cap crunch or offer sheet.

Isles would need more than that for Pulock. I also think Pulock is signing something in the 6mill range.

I'm against trading pulock, but if Lou wants to I don't see Toronto being the landing spot. Too close a rival and Toronto wouldn't be open to giving up the talent needed for him. I think if Pulock goes anywhere it'll be WPG.
