My question is who is the leadership going to be. Because Koivu And Staal are gone. I imagine Suter would get the C? Who gets the As?

Parise and Suter wore the As. My guess is Spurgeon gets the C, he's signed long term and Guerin spoke highly of his leadership since he reached out to Kaprizov awhile back and started working on building a friendship with him.

I could see some combination of Suter, Spurgeon, Brodin, Parise, Zuccarello, and Foligno wearing letters this upcoming season. Not sure who the captain will be though (Suter?) - or if they name one next season.

Yes! I thought he would at least be offered a courtesy contract until he retires. I mean, the guy plays for you for fifteen seasons and then you don’t offer him at least league min? I mean, cmon.

My guess is that Koivu doesn't want to retire, otherwise the Wild would have let him make that announcement rather than announcing that they weren't going to resign him. I'm betting he signs on a cheap deal with a contender to act as a 4th line C to do PK and D-zone draws. Shelter his minutes a bit and I bet he's got a couple of years left in him if he wants it.
