Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Athanasiou, Andreas [RFA Rights]
  2. Puljujärvi, Jesse [Reserve List]
Additional Details:
It is rumored Oilers aren't willing to commit to AA's 3.8M AAV QO (too high). Lehkonen would bring in similar production-ish at a lower price tag.
EDM
  1. Hudon, Charles [RFA Rights]
  2. Lehkonen, Artturi
  3. 2020 2nd round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
Hudon included for contract swaps purposes. AA is an immediate upgrade on Lehkonen, Puljujarvi is a gamble (may not be worth the 2nd, but should be close.)
2.
MTL
  1. Saad, Brandon ($1,000,000 retained)
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (CHI)
CHI
  1. Byron, Paul
  2. 2020 2nd round pick (CHI)
3.
MTL
  1. Mittelstadt, Casey [RFA Rights]
  2. 2020 1st round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
Buffalo making a move for a 2C.
BUF
  1. Domi, Max [RFA Rights]
  2. Mete, Victor [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
A futures move for Montreal. Huge gamble that could result in a huge payoff.

Buffalo already acquired their #2 center, and Domi and Mete won’t get you 8th overall alone, nevermind Mittelstadt too.

If you want AA can come up with a reasonable deal but your thought process towards jp is way tooo far off to even begin a conversation.

That's what I saw go on Twitter. Either way, apparently the Oilers are shopping him to avoid a cap hit they can't afford.

The ramblings have always been Edmonton wants a 2nd rounder for him. Apparently no team has ever stepped to the plate to date for that price tag.

The logic was:

AA is better than Lehkonen, but is pricer and remains under team control for 1 less year. Both guys put up similar-ish numbers (Lehkonen is obviously not as good).

So including a 2nd rounder (GMs seeing it as an overpay) + a wild card in Hudon (AHLer, 13th forward, or could put up 30pts in the NHL again under a different system.) for Puljujarvi on top of cap space seemed close enough.

These threads should start to peter out now.

Habs fan here.

Although none of your trades are outrageous and totally ridiculous, I would still say that they are ALL tilted a bit too much in Montreal's favour.
I don't see any teams listed accepting those hypothetical trades with the Habs.
