Then have fun in salary cap hell lol. Rask can be bought out for really cheap, while you save more than 4m$ in cap space. No one is taking Fleury without sending bad contracts back.

Ugh the 'have fun if you don't take this really awful deal' line...Boy that's a new one. Didn't hear that at all last year when Vegas was way over the cap in the offseason.

Buying out MAF makes more sense than taking back more than 8m in a 14th forward and a 3rd string goalie. Buying out Rask + Dubnyk = 5.6m in cap coming back.

Honestly, the whole extra players thing is way over the top. If Vegas plans on buying out MAF, then MAF for Dubs straight up actually works for all parties. Minnesota gets their goalie and the Knights get a smaller, shorter buyout. I could also see a late draft pick going over to Vegas.
