Montreal won’t do this so let’s post this trade 50 times a day

I absolutely hate it. A bunch of idiot habs fans are obsessed with Mantha, but you can keep him. Suzuki is probably the single most valuable piece in our organization right now, and he’s untouchable.

0 interest in trading a player who looks like he may be our best center in decades for a player that's on par with Domi's production but has a bad track record of injuries.

Don't get me wrong I like Mantha, but not at the price.

There is absolutely no chance that Montreal move Suzuki.

Still, I have no idea why Detroit would keep Mantha. He doesn't fit the age of the rebuild. Cash in on his big value, add some other good vets for the young players to learn from and continue the rebuild.

Sure id do it but Montreal isn't gonna move Suzuki. I think to the rangers for something like buchnevich and georgiev could be ok.

Yet Hab fans keep trading us Domi for Mantha, And yet Domi is only 5 1/2 months younger then Mantha. So if Mantha doesn't fit our age of our rebuild then neither does Domi. Guarantee Yzerman wouldn't deal Mantha for a similar aged player but a much younger player.

I like Mantha as much as the next guy but why is his value rated so high? Guys good but not elite. Is he the best RW in the league? No. Is he the best goalscorer in the league? No.

The obsession to get him is simply because he is big and "un gars de chez nous" and thats it.

Guys he just turned 26 years old. Statitsically ages 23-27 are a players prime. Hes getting a little injury prone and doesnt have the stats to back up being worth so much.

Dont get me wrong Detroit shouldn't trade him anything less than what they feel is fair value but no team should touch the valuation Detroit fans have him at.

Not too mention that an offer sheet would probably be the cheaper more costeffective way of getting him. Detroit would be overpaying a lot to match any 8M+ contract and the compenasation for OS him is less than what detroit fans are asking for in return.

Doubt Yzerman would move Mantha for a Center, But probably a very good LD perhaps something around Noah Hanifin+ for Anthony Mantha

Take far more then Poehling to get Mantha out of Detroit, He's unproven and what few games he's had with the Hab's weren't all that great.

It's pretty clear at this point a trade between MTL and DET won't work.

Montreal doesn't want to give up their best assets (obviously) and DET doesn't want spare parts for their best winger (obviously).

Maybe we should all just move on.

Impossible. If Montreal fans keep proposing the exact same trade 20 times a day then eventually Detroit fans will magically change there mind and decide it’s fair.

Poehling is a 3rd line center at best and that's if he makes it back to the NHL.

Even if that were true, who cares? It certainly wont make it really happen in the NHL.

I dont understand why ppl get so worked up over another fan base thinking a deal is fair like now that its decided, it might actually come true or something.

I can post Crosby to MTL for Jordan Weal AGMs all i want, it aint gonna change anything. Lol

How so? Lots of very good players didn't win their first cup before turning 30.
