Switch Filppula and Glendening and it's probably closer to reality. Doubt taco makes the team probably Givani Smith instead.

Dell might need another $500k to go to a bad team, depending what kinds of offers he’s getting elsewhere. As per the title, it is a simple off season, but I think Yzerman will use that cap space and get some sort of dump for a pick or two - at least 1 player, maybe more. I’d like to see Smith in the lineup too if possible

Glendening had 56.1% wins last year on 700 draws. I think we should try him at 2C honestly. Hirose actually had a damn good year last year. I think he makes the team.

I agree with all the above. I *hope* Yzerman weaponizes his cap space, and I *hope* to see Givani but this is what I expect (with the caveat that Fil & LGD are probably swapped).

Actually from what's being reported it's not our of the realm of possibility that Yzerman might try Fabbri at center next season, And i would love to see Hirose make the team just bury both Abdelkader and Nielsen because both are worthless.

I have absolutely no issue buying out Nielsen, but that's not a "simple" offseason anymore lol.

Where are you seeing that Fabbri could try C? EDIT: Found it on freep.

This is not how our offseason will go.

We aren’t making zero moves to get better. We aren’t going to make zero moves trying to acquire assets. You didn’t even resign Ehn and Timashov. Overpaid Hirose. And you’re choosing to walk from Bowey and Perlini? I dislike both, but there are scenarios where we could potentially still add them to trades. And we’re not running with Dell backing up Bernier, that’d be a disaster.

Yeah Helene St James mentioned it as well as Ansar Khan.

I could see Detroit go after Greiss, a German born player to help future German star. Can see greiss in a 2 year deal unless Stevie does a helm for dubnyk type deal
