Did anyone else think McCann was 30 years old? I guess its the style of play. Nevertheless, this is a pretty solid deal that even JR couldn't mess up.

Not only he offers a better offensive production, McCann is also reliable defensively at ES. All three guys you listed are fourth liners; that's why you would have them for less money.

That is what I am saying Pittsburgh would benefit from more depth and they can't afford more depth if they resign Mccann.

They don't need those guys. Their 4th line is under contract for next year.

Would've made sense if you said this the first time around, but this is still a great contract that will help Pittsburgh

Their fourth line wasn't great definitely can be improved on.
