Horrible for Calgary, gaudreau is miles better than Nuge. Flames 10000% decline.

Nuge > Jonny For Edmonton.
Oilers will get a more team friendly extension with nuge than they will with Jonny. Nuge has proven additional value when mcdavid or Leon miss any time he can slot in at C that’s a huge deal. Nuge has also shown excellent chemistry with both Leon and mcdavid.

In that case we'll counter with Lindholm for McDavid. Lindholm has good chemistry with Monahan and Gaudreau, can fill in at multiple positions if needed (McDavid can only play C smh), and he's also better defensively, so he's worth more in our eyes, but I suppose we could make something work

?? Not sure I get your point here. Assuming trying to be dramatic because you think Jonny is significantly better than nuge but that’s not really the case... Nuge was clearly a huge part of the best line in hockey last year. Why would oilers dismantle what does work for what might work that’s not really a good way to improve a team.

Johnny Gaudreau has made it known that he wants to go home to Philly, Doesn't make sense to give up Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for 2 years of Gaudreau.
