Ahh yes just what we need: An injury prone 30-40 point player with a 5.3 million dollar cap hit. Perfect.

Thought he'd be a perfect fit 😉 but in all seriousness, he has alot more in the tank than people think

How long is his contract, I’d take it depending on the term; maybe with retention depending on the term.

We def can’t afford the full 5+ hit unless we get more substance back I’d believe

lmao don't even worry. Hornqvist wont even waive to san jose so it really doesn't matter.

On this post, Hornqvist doesn't have value and i am guessing no team wants him

I mean I suppose but SJ can't afford him at all. We already have a Jim Rutherford of our own dealing out garbage contract, we really don't need another.

I see alot of DeSmith to SJS on here, if it was like Hornqvist Desmith and SImon for a 3rd, would that work?

..probably not, 3 more years and he’s barely worth his cap hit. Would need retention and maybe a better value return. Not sure on what it would be but see Hornquist as a Subtle cap dump, he’s worth 2-3 mil cap hit. Prospect or pick plus Simon go with him and add retention. We just can’t afford him at 5.3. DeSmith could just be replaced through UFA instead. Could just trade him elsewhere

Um I mean not really. The only interesting piece there if Simon if you ask me. Cheap 3rd line option would be nice. Unless DeSmith is able to play 40+ games next season and can put up a .915+ save percentage, there's really no reason for us to go after him. Especially after he spent an entire year in the AHL last season.

Missed last year but was in the western conference championship the years before! It’s not been that long since we were a cup contender like seriously it was one year ago!

Well this is just an ignorant statement. The only thing hindering a Hornqvist move is his contract, but if you don't think teams wouldn't be calling Rutherford if his contract was one year and one million less you're out of your mind. Then again, if his contract was one year and one million less the Pens probably wouldn't want to move him.
