Ekblad isn’t that good

Laine playing with Huberdeau and Barkov has 50 goal potential. Always a lock for 35+. One for one would be plenty fair

Never said it isn’t fair just won’t happen. Unless the Cats have a replacement in place, any team that wants Ekblad is going to overpay for him.

Would there be something around Boeser for Ekblad?

There aren’t many teams willingly putting up their top pairing RHD on the market.. I don’t know if Florida definitely is but the rumors are that they’re looking to move pieces out.

Teams aren’t going to overpay for him though. A one for one swap is fair but I think they ask for one of Noel or a pick attached. I’ve edited it for just the 3rd

Florida says no unless there is a lot being added. This deal is is just made to bring a star to Florida who Barkov has familiarity with. It’d arguably be the best first line in the league tied with Boston as well. There really isn’t any purpose in getting Boeser as he doesn’t fulfill either of those criteria’s

As a non Florida fan I’d probably do it. When COVID is over, the team needs people in the stands and get back to playing exciting hockey. To bring that and make your star player happy? Done

Oh no don't get me wrong, positionally I agree that it doesn't make sense, but value wise you couldn't ask for more than Laine

I don’t think it’s him they will move or at least attempt to move but at least one of Yandle, Stralman, or Matheson.

Going to have to give up a lot to move any of those three imo. Yandle will be the easiest but still not great
