Description
I'm pretty confident Gourde would be a great 2C in Ottawa. His hometown is not far from OTT, so he might be enticed to move, combined with more ice time and the raise to his paycheck due to the canadian dollar

Why exactly are we giving up a good prospect to get 2 extra years at a more expensive cap hit of an equally terrible player? I would honestly rather just keep Hogberg than get Murray too, and we’re not trading #33 for Gourde

Have you not been watching the playoffs at all? Gourde looks excellent out there. His point production is the product of limited ice time and utility. Now that he has more of a role, he's a star.

I love Cobra, but why is he your #1C? Dude should be down on the 3rd line.

I’ll say while “star” is ambitious... he’s been incredibly impressive. I highly doubt Gourde is asked to waive his NTC, Johnson and Killorn will be moved most likely.

You literally notice him every time he’s been on the ice, every game I’ve watched 37 has been at the top of mind every few minutes

He has not been that bad, he’s been a responsible two C in Ottawa, maybe not special but I watch Ottawa often and he’s been quite good, we could use him right about now haha

I'm not saying he's bad, he's just not 1st line quality.

True, but it’s Ottawa we’re talking here, and I may not be the poster here but Colin White didn’t have the year Ottawa wanted I believe so he’s trying something new and allowing byfield to get ample c time at 3 c is what I assume the poster is going for otherwise it’d be Colin white - gourde - tierney (or vice versa) - then byfield

I mean, I know why they've been posting him at the top, but why not Brady T.? He's a C too.

BTW, I would totally give OTT our 2021 1st for Brady. He's the good Tkachuk.

Ottawa would ask for a kings ransom for tkachuk. I assume he’ll be a captain or A sooner rather than later. Him Chabot are the core of this team. Ottawa loves him (I live in Ottawa), if he got traded there quite literally would be riots lmao, he has a lot more potential inside him I believe as well; his cost would/ is high

You can't indicate lines. I tried to balance them out such that the top 3 lines are fairly interchangeable. OTT doesn't have a true top line yet.

Lol, I'm just sayin. He's definitely the good one, and we'd take him fo sho.

That's cool you're in OTT, I hear it's a really nice city.

I get it. So why not try to pick up a #1C instead of Yanni?

Considering at least 5 teams need a 1C that's easier said than done. Chances are Byfield becomes that eventually anyways, so don't put the cart before the horse. I think Yanni is the perfect stopgap center to aid in the transition, and he can be used anywhere.

Or for sure, both Tkachuk brothers are a dream they’re unreal. I’d love either

Matthew is talented, but I don't like him or his rat-like ways. I prefer my players to focus on sportsmanship not gamesmanship; Brady most certainly does, Matthew is still figuring that out.

I'm just so against a Murray trade in any capacity. He might turn out to be great after a trade, but his injury history is scary and I want to reward Hogberg with more playing time. Now is not the time to be worrying about goalies imo
