Draft Dylan Holloway and acquire Filip Chytil. Shore up the blue line for years to come. Get the goalie on the open market rather than use assets in a trade. Add draft picks.

1. We need to invest in centre depth. I actually think the organization has found some amazing value and high-end skill at the wing's through the draft and in trades. Mangiapane, Dube, Lindholm, Pelletier, and obviously Johnny. I think what we have really been lacking is a true play-driving pipeline down the middle of our rotation. Backlund is a solid yet average 2C, I have no problem riding that pony for another 2 years. Monahan, while kudos for improving his 200ft game this season, just lacks that intensity and pace of play that we've built around him on the wings.

2. Go get the goalie in free agency. There is a glutton, don't use up the assets in draft stock we need to acquire one. Just pay the money.

3. The cliche saying, "you gotta build through the draft". Its true. The Flames have done an amazing job of finding talent at draft spots we shouldn't have. Saying that, its time we start adding some elite talent to this group, and not through over-priced signings or trades. We need to re-tool slightly with some draft picks.
