Description
My thought process for the wild trade was:
Nylander>Dumba
Anderson<9th
Holl=Dubnyk retained
Put it all together seems good to me, let me know what you think, also just pointing out Holl is a Minnesota boy and last year was his first real year in the league but he managed to put up 18 points in less than 60 games, was considered the shut down pair when paired with Muzzin so does have some defensive talent also and is signed to a nice 2x3 years he is a good replacement for Dumba, I don’t even want to see him go but he has to if I want to sign a certain UFA
Obviously this is another post where the leafs sign Petro he completes this rock solid defence depth, keeping AJ to bring his value back up he’s gonna score 25 goals and 50 points this year no problem, kerfoot unfortunately had to go to make space, some might say the second line is lacking but they’re gonna grind hard everyday and definitely contribute JT should be good for 30 goals hopefully Hyman can repeat last year and come up with 20 and I’m hopeful Robertson can do something impressive like 20 goals also, the 3rd line is gonna be surprisingly good I think, as long as Engvall can make some strides as a center he definitely has some potential and skill could be interesting, finally the 4th line is what it is anyone can fill in those spots other than Spezza, he must return

The 3rd trade is me completely ****ing around trying to get Drysdale seems like an overpayment considering we can just draft Schneider at 15 but let me know what you think, definitely should be drafting Askarov and a RHD with our firsts

Be gentle

Those Minnesota and Ottawa deals are so bad for the Wild and Senators.

Lol instead of retaining 1/2 and giving up 9th overall why don't the Wild just buyout Dubnyk.
These trades are sorry and wish to disappear.

Wings decline, bottom 6 forward who don't score 30 points don't get 2nd round picks. We don't want any bottom 6 forwards, you can keep him and the cap hit.

Kerfoot and Toronto 2nd for erne

Ottawa declines, they have like a million picks so getting 2 more 2nds to pass up 5th oa isn't attractive

I agree about Ottawa, they do want to stack up picks, but not at the expense of a lottery pick. Dumba is a little overrrated to be honest. He's pretty much a Barrie that hits people, not that great in the d zone. They might as well resign Barrie and keep/move assets elsewhere.

If the Leafs get two quality dmen, with term, then they're either gonna lose a D to SEA or a good forward. Just something to keep in mind

I'll give you that, still think Dumba's overrated and would rather spend the money on Barrie and like I said move assets elsewhere. I'll keep Nylander over Dumba any day.
