Definitely overpaid Buffalo here On this trade but that’s ok for mtl and Danault slides into their 2C pushing Staal down to 3c where he’s probably better off now at this point in his career

Edmonton will find out how Byron can skate with anyone and kills penalties also can put up 20+ goals when healthy. Good leadership guy as well

NJ has 3 picks in the first round and uses one to trade for the electric personality of tuna hockey to help get their team back fighting for a playoff spot

Even if the Staal acquisition didn't happen this is way too much for Danault even with an extension.

NO NO NO Byron has a terrible contract and is on the down side of his career, no injured a lot and Edmonton if you hadnt noticed has a way better penalty kill than Montreal. Zero interest and good luck getting any team in the NHL to take that contract.
