fowl play

Team: 2020-21 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 19, 2020
Published: Sep. 19, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Fowler fits perfectly into the Bruins' cap structure and timeline; he makes less than Bergeron and Pastrnak, is locked up for another 6 years, and is just entering his prime. By the time the Ducks are competitive again, he'll be leaving his prime and nearing the end of his contract, so it's worth more to them to trade him now. The Bruins give up their best LHD prospect, but are getting a young-ish top pairing LHD in return, so they're able to stomach losing Vaak. Bruins might be willing to give up another prospect in the deal, only Studnicka is off limits but the Ducks have plenty of good C prospects anyways.
Of all the forwards on the Sabres and Bruins who played at 750 minutes last season, only Eichel, Marchand, and Pastrnak had more GF/60 than Vesey, and only Larsson, Girgensons, and Coyle had less xGA/60 than Vesey. He's a good player and would be a good fit on the 3rd line.

ANA-BOS is rather tuff. I understand the approach here although you low ball us a lil. But we cant part ways with Fowler(considering if he waives;good possiblty with BOS) Its still up in the air whether Lindholm will stay or not. I foresee acquiring cam fowler would be an overpay/No waive.

I wonder if Krug would consider signing in Anaheim, would his rights be enough of an add? He could take Fowler's spot on LD too

Oh no definitely not

I think it would be only contingent on if he wanted to leave and only to you guys. Like how kesler left Van to ANA. You know forced their hand. Bos farm system is rather weak and 1sts are at the lowest value possible cause you know. Y'all cup contenders.

I don’t have a lot of faith in Vesey. Had his chance and chose NYR. I think it would turn my into a jimmy hayes situation.

The ANA deal is a good thought, it’s a little short on value and I haven’t seen Fowler’s name tossed around but good start/good idea. I still don’t get the Vesey thing though... maybe I’m just not a huge fan of his game.

laugh laugh Why would Krug have any interest in freaking Anaheim he's wants between 7 x $8,000,000 to 7 x $9,000,000 Anaheim can't afford him and no freaking chance of Cam Fowler waiving for Boston he has a 4 team trade list and reportedly the only eastern conference team he'll waive for is hometown Detroit that's it. It's a 99.9% certainty that Krug is signing with Detroit.

Cam Fowler has a 4 team trade list, And sorry Boston isn't one of the 4 teams he'd waive for.

Good title lol, but the pens would decline. They are trying to recreate speed and forecheck style team that won them the cups in 16 and 17. Ritchie doesn't fit that mold.
