2nd pair D plus rental 2nd line W plus project player + 1st for 24 year old 37g/71pts (on pace for without covid) winger that can play C. Leafs can add a bit if you want - take one of or even both of Kerfoot and Johnsson if needed

LMAO you aren't even close and comical you talk about adding Johnsson or Kerfoot who have negative value to the Hawks...they are cap dumps as far as the Hawks are concerned. If this is an honest proposal and not a troll job, please keep Nylander because there is not a chance in hell the Hawks accept.

Let me help you out...
Murphy = late 1st (plus decent prospect)
Saad = late 1st (at 1/2 retained plus decent prospect)
A Nylander = 2nd rounder

So what you've proposed is:
Nylander = (3) 1st round picks including the #17 overall, a 2nd round pick and a 3rd

You've got to be out of your mind if you honestly think Nylander is worth that.

I can admit that Nylander took a big step forward this past season. No argument coming from me that hes a good player. Youre asking for a lot of good players back too. WITH salary retention WITH a 1st rounder WITH a rookie prospect who's pretty good in his own right. This is just over valuing a career high 61 points.

my target was a 2nd pair D + replacement 2nd line F + project player + 1st, but maybe Murphy's a bit better than a 2nd pair D, Saad a bit better than a 2nd liner, and Nylander might be a bit better than a project player

hard pass by the hawks. The comments show that. Murphy +17th OA is fair for Nylander in my opinion. Maybe hawks add a sweetener. That deal gives the leafs 3.1 mil more in cap space and another 1st round pick. And it's not a late first eigther. Leafs might even be able to use 17th +15th to move up into the top 10 and get a real difference maker on an ELC for 3 years.
