        CHI
Dumba to TOR for Sandin and 15OA to facilitate a 3 way deal with Sandin going to CHI, TOR is in on the Petro sweepstakes and perhaps they really want that RHD (complete speculation)

            MIN
            1. Dvorak, Christian
            2. Goligoski, Alex
            Additional Details:
1st round pick and cheap roster players to ARI
            ARI
Dumba to WPG for Roslovic and a 1st round pick to facilitate a 3 way deal with the 1st and additional roster players going to ARI, ARI is in financial trouble and needs picks (the value is way off but this is the idea)
              8.
              MIN
              1. Schmaltz, Nick
              Additional Details:
              Goligoski, Alex
              ARI
Financially driven move for ARI as Schmaltz is more expensive and arguably less important to ARI in the long run than Dvorak, Dumba would have to be moved separately for picks/prospects to make the cap work
                9.

                STL
Dumba, it looks like Petro is out and St Louis might want another RHD with a big shot (complete speculation)
                  10.
                  MIN
                  1. Frost, Morgan
                  2. Gostisbehere, Shayne
                  3. 2020 1st round pick (PHI)
                  PHI
Dumba, talk that the Flyers want to improve the PP but the fit is tenuous and I doubt the Flyers move Patrick or Frost until they figure out 3C which could make Frost available for a lower price at the deadline
                    11.

Not at all. Just trying to make the rumor make sense for the Wild, which makes it not make sense for the Canucks.

Believe it is too. Feel like the Wild need to go through a proper rebuild for a couple years and the Staal move makes it seem like they are heading that direction. Frost would be good start who has a ton of potential offensively but may take some time to get his game tuned up defensively at the NHL level.

Makes sense to me for PHI to try to sell high on Frost. He's destined to be pigeonholed as a 3rd line C behind Couturier and Hayes.

Makes sense to me for PHI to try to sell high on Frost. He's destined to be pigeonholed as a 3rd line C behind Couturier and Hayes.

When he was up briefly last season he played second line with Giroux and TK on his wings with Hayes as 3C so I doubt he would be 3C. But I agree they should sell high if they are confident Patrick is going to play next season.

Necas isn’t ready to be a center and I don’t think there is any circumstance the canes would move him. I’d expect him to be a 55-60 point guy as a sophomore and he has ppg upside

“If they are confident Patrick is going to play” that’s the wrinkle in the logic. I really think the wild will make a push for him if Patrick pans out but that could be at the deadline or later. I don’t think that’s a bad thing though given how it would change the price.

Yeah, it’s hard to see him moving but with the cap and players that will need new contracts on the canes I’ll leave the option open with a super low chance of it happening.

Flames aren't trading their top line centre for what would be their 3rd/4th best dman.

Carolina are not moving Necas for another winger. We have TT, Svechnikov, Aho Trocheck who can all play out wide, but Necas is a natural C and we need those as much as Minny do

You’re probably right, just throwing out ideas that may work in some universe. If the canes really want Laine, which some sources suggest, it’ll take one of Necas or Pesce. By no means are these done deals but rather ways to think about how something could get done for minnesota.

A complete rebuild is in order.
Surprised Brodin decided to resign he must really like it there.
Start with Askarov and selling assets(Dumba a great place to start) for futures.

I’m in your boat. I have a strong feeling Askarov will don a Wild Jersey. The Brodin signing tells me Billy convinced him there will be a cup run in 4 years with the timing of his NMC.

Monahan is the most realistic imo and up there with my favorite options. I'd love Necas or Thomas, but I have a very hard time seeing either of those two moved. Maybe Thomas is a bit more likely if the Blues feel the need to "replace" Pietrangelo with Dumba (I made a post about that this morning).

The rumour was a deal could center around Trocheck with Skjei involved. Necas is not being moved EVER and Lebrun basically said Pesce would have to be almost 1 for 1
