That’s a hot take. Here’s another. I don’t think Bryan is that great.

If I were going to make a move with the Avs it would be for Kaut Timmins and a 1st for either marner or nylander.

The age and potential of Byram will most likely jinx this trade. Nylander is good, but can still be a great defenceman in this league.

You think? I would think their value is about equal. Also, I don't see how he is untouchable. Colorado already has a solid defence and none of them are really old or anything. It's not like they desperately need defence. However, they could use a boost on the second line. I could see them making this trade.

We badly need a 1LD and byram is filling that need in the next couple years, a good 2RW in nice but i wouldnt trade our future 1LD for him

Do you think Nylander would net a top 4 pick this year? No. Byram is a top 4 this year if he was in the draft. He’s a 19 yr old future #1 d, no way Colorado trades him for what would be a 60pt 2nd line winger.

If he was a Leafs prospect all you would hear on CF is how he is a future Norris winner. Yeah there is some homerism going on with prospects but Byram is pretty universally thought of as the top defensive prospect not in the NHL.

I'd say yes. Nylander has far surpassed the expectations of an 8th overall pick. I'd say 4th is realistic. Probably just a one-for-one trade for Byram I guess.

Haha I agree. Not by much though. Also, Drysdale seems like he is better.

No way. 19 yr old #1 d prospect for a 2nd line winger not happening.

Disagree. Drysdale is always going to be on the smaller side he is listed at 5’11” 170, where Byram who is only 10months older is 6’1” 194 who is better literally in every facet of the game. But that’s my opinion and I would say most would agree. Thanks for sharing your points of view though. Never a bad thing to talk hockey.

Ok, well, I guess they are about even. Also, I wouldn’t call Nylander a second line wing. Yes, he plays second line but only because Mitch Marner is ahead of him. There is pretty much no way you can call him not a top 60 winger. He’s top 20-25 I’d say.

Yeah but on the Avs he is a 2nd line winger. That’s why if any trade were to happen involving Byram (it won’t) it would be for someone unquestionably elite, otherwise it doesn’t make sense for the Avs to give up a stud #1 guy.

Ok that is a fair point. Unless he plays left wing, he wouldn't play top line. I still think Nylander is worth Byram, but I respect your opinion. Think whatever you want.
