Hey I'm a huge fan of Miller, but theres is absolutely 0 incentive to leave SoCal for Buffalo. He specifically wanted to go there for his family and Anaheim will likely give him that same number. If he can't play for Anaheim or LA, I'm fairly certain he retires. He's already gone on record about how bubbles for the whole season would be a no-go for him.

He lit it up. SHL season started today. Showed off his shot and skill. Easily best player on the ice. If Detroit doesn't snag him they are on it..

I'm not sure if Kylington is that good, and why the hell did he get almost three million? smile

I'm just not sure if he's a proven enough player. I'm not a fan of McCabe, but at least I know what to expect from him, he can sometimes play well defensively and is always physical.

Yeah true. I don't really know who to pursue based on cap and assets needed to acquire. We're pretty thin...

Adams has not yet confirmed that we will match the 70 million internal cap, and even if the Pegulas want to save money, you can look at relatively cheap salary players or there are players who have a large cap hit, but most of the salary is in bonuses and some they have already been paid.

My extended shortlist for the LD position:

UFA: Dillon, Soucy, Hutton, Merrill, Fantenberg, Forbort

Trade: Zadorov, Dermott, Fleury, Bean, Kylington, Leddy, Goligoski, Hjalmarsson, Murray, Nutivaara, Cole, Nemeth, McNabb, Kempny, Larsson, Oleksiak, Hague, Kukan

I've watched Nutivaara and can say he's a fantastic defenseman. CBJ won't move him unless a equal piece going back. Not sure who...

Why did he play so few games this season and only play two playoff games? I like Nutivaara, but did he have injuries or did Tortorella just leave him in the press box? They have Jones, Werenski, Gavrikov and Savard for the top 4, maybe it won't be too expensive if Tortorella keeps him in reserve for some reason.

Big reason why he's being dangled, their defensive depth. They need punch upfront. I think we need what they need so it's hard to hash out a mock.

Well, we have picks, some prospects, maybe they would be interested in a player like Asplund or Ruotsalainen, it's hard to say without knowing the inner workings.

Asplund and Ruotsalainen are clones of Emil Bemstrom and Eric Robinson. I don't see why that would interest them tbh. They want/need top 6 help.

I'm not sure if they will get the top 6 player for Nutivaara, especially if he is not in their top 4.

Asplund or Ruotsalainen plus a choice, and not just one-on-one, it is also difficult for me to assess the value of Nutivaara at the moment, but it is unlikely that they will receive the first pick for him or a legiti top 6 forward.

Oh I agree, but what good does another B6 Forward do? just keep Nuitvaara at that point unless the pick is wanted.

Maybe he wants to play more or a role in the top 4, where in the conditional Buffalo he will probably get it, it would be strange to keep the guy in the press box.

Yeah for sure. Jackets fans want Mittelstadt for him but maybe Jarmo doesn't who knows. Hopefully Adams calls on him.

At least on the place of GM, I would ask GM Columbus for its price, but if there are other players and some of them may well be underestimated.
