If JD and MR is gone Barzal rights and contract agreement? thats not even possible. But only player specifically? Laine for 6th overall is really tuff despite him being such a good player. I just dont see him being a guy id want to invest a huge part of our future in.

I think Laine would be something like Silfverberg/Henrique + mid prospect + 6

No thanks. I would rather draft Holtz or Raymond than have Nylander tbh

Obviously it depends who's available, but if Drysdale is there (97% chance he doesn't get past Ottawa) & we can resign Pietro, I'd offer Parayko for the 6OA

This seems like it would take a pretty niche scenario. Ducks wouldn't want to trade 6 OA (in my mind, at least) unless it's for a young player, and the primary targets if you're looking to deal that pick would likely be rebuilding teams who probably wouldn't be inclined to give up their young studs. I think if we're trying to stay in the realm of possibility here (though I do recognize this is all fun, hypothetical stuff), I'd be looking at players who may have priced themselves off of their current teams.

All depends on the prospect. But, yea I see a guy who isn't tenacious and not well rounded enough to give up a high pick and pay him 10+ for after his contract ends next season. I know he's an RFA but would he even want to stay here? Too much is in the air.

Very fair trade assessment tho

They would have to be young, not that it is realistic but it would have to be something like a Laine, Kaprizov, or Keller, a young guy that could be made a core piece. Of course though those aren’t the type of players that really get trade and especially not that type of return

not an all encompassing list, but probably not many more than these guys (no I do not think the puck should be traded, that's why I would need a massive overpay to move it, especially if Raymond/Rossi is there)

McAvoy
Svech
Slavin
