I shudder to think about Kessel on the Avs. I would not take him unless they paid me. Like, I'd give them a 7th round pick and they retain all of his salary. And committing 7 years at $9mil to Hall is almost as crazy as committing the same amount to Petro.

Holy over payment on Graves, around $2M a year to much. Also Kessel in a 3rd line role just has disaster written on it. Just going to let Nichushkin and Zadorov walk then give Simmonds who is an awful fit a contract? Hall for 7 years isn’t going to happen Sakic wouldn’t give Panarin 6 no way he gives Hall that. It’s creative though.

Remind me, what line was Kessel on when he won two Stanley Cups in Pittsburgh?

In all seriousness, I think the Avs would have to add more to get both Kuemper and Kessel, especially if the Yotes are eating half on Phil. Byram and Newhook are obviously off the table completely, but I could see Armstrong wanting someone like Kaut or Timmins as well. But the pure hockey fit of those two with Colorado is insane

Yeah idk about that much money for Hall, but it's a solid team nonetheless

And how many years ago was that? Kessel isn’t remotely the same player. Also for me I don’t think Kuemper is the answer in goal for the Avs. So I’m just not a fan of this deal at all but that’s me.
