Interesting Bonino Larsson trade. Heard a preds fan say they wouldn't mind picking up larsson, so I think both sides accept

Presumably Arizona sees tremendous value in AA at $3M per?

2020 money out: $850k
2020 money in: $8.75M

2021 money out: $5.1M
2021 money in: $8.75

2022 money out: 0
2022 money in: $8.75M

And they take almost $2M extra cap for the firs two years as the cherry on top.

Bill Armstrong must think AA is a franchise player.

It's the $17.25M Neal the part that matters?!

I doubt AA even gets qualified. So why is the broke team trading the $5.95M obligation to Kessel that they are done with in two seasons for a $17.25M, 3-year obligation for Neal? What exactly is the incentive?

In the thread I linked to you , TO is giving Arizona Johnsson (2.6 in actual money and a 2nd rnd pick for AA who they will not qualify - TO is paying Arizona to take on Neal with a pick and a cheap middle 6 F signed for 3 seasons

Why is cap-strapped Toronto giving up a second round pick for AA at $3M-- a guy neither the Coyotes or Oilers plan on qualifying. Why would the Coyotes take on Neal's anchor contract to add a second round pick? Kessel's contract isn't great, but at least he's only $850,000. The Coyotes are broke.

You need a team with lots of cap room and deep pockets to take Neal, and you'll have to pay them. Maybe NJ.

Because if Arizona moves Kessel TO is gifted then1.2 million in cap space from the retention of originally moving Kessel to Pitts - they also are not Qualifing AA they are letting him walk ( he was only signed in the thread for the purpose of moving him to TO to create the appearance of an actual deal)
