There is a lot to unpack here.

Arizona is trying to cut salary so bringing in 2 cap dumps a Dman who will make 4 mil ish and just receiving a prospect and 2nd rounder wont do it.

Value wise i think the CBJ trade is ok but it doesnt meet a need of theirs so they wont grab Risto at 5.4 to play 2nd or 3rd pairing.

Why on Earth would we sign a 6 mil 3c? who isnt even a good center. Ullmark probably makes 3-3.5 and Kahun probably gets up to 3.

all in all this team will not be filled out by ufa's it will be filled out by mostly internal guys like Mitts, cozens and Thompson. not Maroon, Granlund,
