Not sure how oilers are supposed to add 6 million in cap, you would have to take Neal back for this to happen. Oilers and Leafs are in the same cap boat

I feel like the trade with kerfoot and johnsson is just to get them off the books

Oilers have cap issues of their own, They can't afford to take on both Johnsson and Kerfoot.

You could at least get a 2nd for Kerfoot, perhaps from a team like Minnesota who may be desperate for centres after trading Staal, I think you could also get a 3rd for Johnsson

This is just to show there is a way to make the cap work, if able to clear kerfoot and johnsson cap from the team.

i think Holl has shown that he can play well with Muzzin, as a legit shutdown pair. dermott hasn't proven that.. i like derms, and if he signs QO, i'd like to have a 3 man rotation of Sandin, Derms, Lehtonen for 3rd pairing.

I don't think Dermott should be coming back. I honestly think Holl played his way onto the roster as a bottom pairing through bubble play. I think Dermott gets booted unless he signs a bridge for pennies

Holl is product of Muzzin and im really sorry 95% of TML fanbase cant see that. Hes 28y and he didnt just drink Red Bull last Season and turned into what most of you see as middle Pair Dman cause his "over-night wonder" completely coincide with him being Paired with Muzzin. That tandem works mostly cause Muzzin is busting his ass out at his 30y and makes Holl look like hes NHLer with 65% of job in that tandem being done by Muzzin. Last few Games against CBJ when Muzzin went down should make you people started to see what i am talking about. Holl is No6 D at most and his 2M are to much for that position + Sandin and Lehtonen being able to play D for 925k makes him the weakest man out.
