Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Afanasyev, Egor
  2. Watson, Austin
  3. 2021 1st round pick (NSH)
Additional Details:
Canadiens get a solid 4th line forward, and a 1st for a good scoring winger in Tatar.
Afanasyev was a 2nd round pick for Nashville last year, and projects to be a solid 3rd line forward.
NSH
  1. Tatar, Tomas
Additional Details:
Tatar is a good top 6 win to help Nashville continue to compete, hopefully for Nashville he doesn't backfire like Mikael Granlund
2.
MTL
  1. Anderson, Josh [RFA Rights]
  2. Robinson, Eric
  3. Vehvilainen, Veini
  4. 2022 2nd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
Anderson is definitely a guy on the move this offseason, he's a good goal scorer coming off a season of injury and inconsistency. Columbus having their right side packed with Atkinson, Bjorkstrand and Bemstrom don't really have room for Anderson anymore. In Montreal playing with a guy like Suzuki could allow him to eclipse 20+ goals yet again.
Robinson is a decent 4th line player who can provide some offence for this club
Vehvilainen is a decent goalie prospect who could one day be a backup in Montreal or solid 3rd goalie.
CBJ
  1. Domi, Max [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
I don't see Domi returning to MTR, Columbus is definitely in the market for more offence, and Domi has enough skill to really help the Columbus top 6 forward group.
3.
MTL
  1. 2021 3rd round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Cap space move for the Habs
WPG
  1. Kulak, Brett
Additional Details:
Jets get a very serviceable 3rd pair d-man

As a CBJ fan, if that's all it took to land Domi, I'd do cartwheels. I like E-Rob as a bottom-6 energy guy, but that's all he is.

Trading two top six scorers for two bottom six non scorers doesn't seem like a strong idea.

Getting Hall would open up lots of trade options for us and I have no issue with moving Domi and Tatar but you’re giving them away for way less than they’re worth. Domi should bring in a legit NHL ready winger and Tatar should get a first and decent prospect. Trading them for fourth liners isn’t going to cut it.

Alright then put actual suggestions on what they would cost

What if they were to acquire Josh Anderson from CBJ and from Nashville what if they got a solid prospect like Egor Afanasyev?

Yeah, CBJ would be happy with this. Only thing I might add is potentially a pick or two back Lumbus’ way, even if they are mid to late rounders.

I don't think it's enough value for Domi, and it does not fill needs for the Habs. Tatar is also worth more, even as a deadline acquisition he's usually the type of player teams give a 1st for. You can't salary dump a value contract like Kulak, you can easily get something for him, or at the very least attach a pick and Alzner so you get real cap relief and you even out the trade.
