Don't think WPG accepts, but I like the rest of the moves.

Btw I recommend signing Niku if you acquire the guy lol.

Boston and Montreal decline. That Winnipeg trade might happen because of the depth in this year's draft. Why just why? Buffalo would trade that in a second and leave you with basically nothing. Colorado is a play-off contender. They don't trade for just draft picks.

why would Montreal decline?

1 C level prospect and on B level prospect for a late round 4th pick from Vegas?

Anderson can fit in on the 4th line in Montreal.

That pretty decent value in the Laine trade, but I doubt the Jets do it as it doesn't really fill any holes and is very futures heavy with the firsts. I would think the Jets would prefer higher end roster players and less futures.

Huge overpay in Laine. Probably takes a huge overpay to get him, but not worth it for NJD.

Zadorov is big - and NJD needs size - but too many boneheaded plays to make that investment for him.

NJD not trading Palmieri for Kase. Too fragile. They need more Palmieiris and fewer Kases.

Well Severson fills a hole for sure and Zacha is a 3C upgrade over the bums the Jets currently roll out at that position but yeah its mostly a futures package, guess they could try to flip those 1sts to fill other holes but realistically that's easier said than done.

Ultimately the best Laine trade is no Laine trade.

It only fills a hole on defense by creating a hole at wing, is what I mean. So, before the trade the Jets have 2 holes to fix and after the trade the Jets have 2 holes to fix. Adding a 3C is really just a throw in and doesn't add much value to the deal.

Yeah I know, these Laine and Ehlers trades are just digging another hole but apparently wingers are the easiest thing to find yet there's a bunch of teams that really need quality wingers, how does that math work??.. 😃

Like I said, the best Laine trade is no Laine trade.

Agree that this is not the time to trade Laine. Properly fill the 2C before the start of the season and give Laine no reason to not to resign. If WPG does not get a 2c soon then take this trade.

both Bruins and Habs fans saying they would accept it, not sure what you're saying on the Buffalo trade, also Zadorov for a 2nd and 3rd has been proposed many times by both Devils and Avs fans.

fair enough, I would make both moves though personally. highly doubt we're getting a player as good as Laine with either of those picks, and losing Severson and Zacha doesn't kill us. Zadorov isn't great but he's an improvement over every LD on the roster by a fair bit, he's massive, destroys guys every so often, chips in some offence, and he's only 25.

2nd round pick in 2020 is also significant. depends on what other offers would be out there but I wouldn't hate this return.

The team hasn’t soured on butcher. He got cut out of PP time as they switched to 1-3-1 and then back. But that’s about it.

There's nice value there, but ultimately I don't think WPG is looking to trade Laine for future assets, when to some extent Laine is a future asset himself. He's only 22 and still very much developing.
