According to https://twitter.com/InsideSource20/status/1308133491155111937 there has been a good amount of calls on Mathieu Perrault. You should send every GM in the League a roll of dimes.

    (Too ancient a reference?)

$4,125M is too much, we're better to keep Clifton. We also have a third line in Bjork-Coyle-Studnicka.

I've always been a fan of Perreault, he'd be a great get... If he cost a million less.

See, in the old days, there were these things called "Pay Phones" in public places -- you'd put in a dime, and then you could make a call . . .

    Never mind.

If you think about the teams that could use a guy like that (definitely Chicago, though they probably still can't afford him), and the flat cap hanging around for a bit, just retaining a mil on MP could make a significant increase on the return.

Sabres probably should either wait two years for Pilut or use him in a bigger trade piece.

I think if the jets retain 1M, they can get anywhere between a 3rd and a 7th pretty easily. Perreault is the type of player contenders like to sign. Gritty, versatile, and feisty. Checks off al or if boxes for a 3rd liner. Much like how the pens overpaid for Tanev, some team might do it here

When you have to point 2 years back to when a player was a "good third line" player that's your problem right there. From Buffalo I'll give you Hutton and Pilut, no way we take on 4 mil without giving you back something

I could still see something like that. Perrault is probably getting a million overpaid, he still is a good bottom six guy to have

Perreault for Hutton makes sense for the Jets. We need a backup and we use the difference ($1.375 mil) on a better 3rd of 4th liner.

I wouldn't say he's overpaid, he's just a victim of circumstance with the flat cap.

I find this hard to believe.

He's fallen the last couple of years but I think that might be a bit of Maurice's fault as he dropped Perreault down to the 4th line when he really should've been on the 3rd line, ****ing Maurice can't make a line that works for his life and when he stumbles into something that works due to injury he breaks it up!

Ive been saying this since he signed his deal. He's overpayed at 4.1, but have him at 3 and it's a different story
