Don't understand the DET trade. Why is DET giving up one of their top D prospects and a pick, to get a bottom six forward?

DET is a team of bottom six forwards, we have plenty of those anyways.

On what planet is Kerfoot worth Cholowski+5th round pick and Zetterberg Cholowski by himself is worth as much as Kerfoot.

WTF are you going on about - Cholowski is not worth that much - he's shown signs of being a 6/7 D man - now maybe it's because Detroit is that bad and makes him look bad or maybe they are so bad they have no choice but to play a kid 18 mins a night that has no business playing in the league at this point

Dude Choloswski is easily worth a 3rd same value as Kerfoot.

Kerfoot will get more than a third if moved - he's a Top 6 F or 3 C on very reasonable contract, I can guarantee if he's moved its not for a measly 3rd and not for creating cap room.

You're not getting more then a 3rd rounder for Kerfoot especially from Detroit we don't need him.

Who said anything about Detroit - you could be right I guess kinda like Kapenen will only get a 2nd or 3rd cause the Leafs need to move salary. But hey maybe I'm wrong

Not sure if Yzerman is willing to give up on Cholowski yet. The problem is Zetterberg. Why would Detroit trade him if he costs nothing and we really never used the LTIR clause in the CBA. If anything he is an asset not a liability. He costs 1 million in real dollars and has a cap hit on LTIR of over 6 million. I just do not think we throw him around lightly. Many people think he needs to be moved by Wings, they have no cap issues and he is covered by insurance. Just makes zero sense. This is just a bad deal for Wings and a good dela for Toronto, they clear cap and get to go over cap with LTIR of Zetterberg and Wings get 3rd line center, which we have in spades.

I get that he yes he did trade him to Detroit - my issue is always your response. 1: you laugh (it's rude and not called) 2: you never put in valuable input or insight - your comments more often than not read - laughing emoji , your idea is garbage - I think you can do better, I think you have knowledge you could actually constructively share
