Can't see why Ottawa would say no, I guess the only thing holding back this trade is if Hank has a NMC or NTC on his contract,

Id do it if I were Ottawa, reason being is Ottawa gets a first, the King's contract is just for one more year, there is cap space, and it give the young goalies one more year to develop, use that first to draft another center, so the Sens can take Stutzle and Drysdale at 3rd OA and 5th OA and two centers from the NYI pick and the Canes pick, good enough reason to do it for Ottawa I'd say

Or you know, Byrifeld and Raymond?

I believe Byfield will be taken by the Kings, Raymond is a nice pick too, considering the Sens already have really good RHD prospects

The Sens should accept but Rangers should add a 2022 2nd as well. Ottawa will immediately buy out Hank and then he can sign wherever he wants cheaply

I mean Kings were reported with Stutzle because they already have crazy centre depth. Can’t see them taking another one

Except that the NYR would much rather buyout his contract than get rid of the 22nd ovr pick in this year's draft...It would cost them $5.5M for this year and they have the cap space.
I'm pretty sure any organisation would value that high a pick much more than $5.5M in Cap

You think the NYR ownership is less likely to buyout Hank than Eugene Melnyk?!?! What are you talking about? Sure, let's all throw away 1st and 2nd rd picks to teams with cap space. Hank is the most obvious straight buyout in the league right now. Rangers will do it themselves and keep their picks....

They’ll be waiting for the second buyout window to make the decision. A lot of goalies on the market so will have to see how everything shakes out. Will be hard to put a trade together so it’ll be buyout or retirement. After the goalie carousel stops he’ll be left with Sweden as his option

No, the Rangers need cap space more than another prospect, at this point.

This would make a lot of sense, look at Marleau last year and Carolina. A 1 was the cost for Carolina to take on his contract and they bought him out so he went to Pitt as a UFA. The goalie FA market is flooded. The only way Hank goes elsewhere before a NYR buyout would be if a team agrees to take on $4.25M which is a lot for a backup at age 38. Ottawa needs to get to the cap floor as well. 3,5,22 and whatever from Isles for Pageau trade... they easily could end up using that Hank pick with the Isles pick to move into the teens. This Hank pick could crazily speed up the rebuild.
For NYR, this should only be an option if they’re looking into going hard after a 2C and top 4 LHD that they’ll need the space for, you can’t do this just to keep your RFAs who helped get swept in the play in round.

Disagree. I think Marc Staal and Chris Kreider will be moved. They'll have plenty of room to sign Deangelo and Strome (although this guy will be asking for more than he's worth).

I think he'd just heading to SWE to play with his brother. With the packed G market (UFA and RFA), I don't see any interest in him.

Plus I don't even think he'd accept to be a 20-25 games backup (which is his caliber at this stage of his career), I think he still wants 40+ starts which I don't believe any team will give him
