Buying out Turris wouldn't be smart, You're looking at 8 years of dead cap in a flat cap world.

Josi just won the Norris and state that him & Ellis are the best D-Pair in the league... they won't trade Ellis after that sentence.
but value wise it's not bad, I would ask Jarnkrok as well in that trade for Bottom 6 help in To.

Turris is a Great 3C (expensive one) so simply trading him to team that really need a C-depth (2-3) like Cgy, Win, Av's, CBJ, Fla, Buff... and simply retain 1M + 2nd for Younger Wennberg CBJ, or Perreault Winnipeg etc..

Exactly, Right now buying him out shouldn't be an option. Perhaps in 2 years but not now 8 years of dead cap is poor cap management.

You need to either play him and hope he gains back some trade value or, like you guys said, retain some cash and take back another bad contract with less term.
Ive always been a fan of Turris and am kinda shocked his play dropped so terribly. As a jets fan I would love to see him in the peg, but it's a long term gamble. plus it helps out the Preds.
