Why do so many of you not understand how trading works?

What does WPG do with all those players? How do they pay them? Where do they play them? Who do they protect?

Please use your brain.

Those scraps don't get you Laine, Chevy would want Necas as a starting point. And Detroit's not trading a 23 year old 3rd line LW for a 26 year old and 28 year old and a 32 year old use common sense when making trades.

Wings pass, 2 bad contracts and a 4th liner for a prospect and a 3rd? No thanks

Right handed center who plays an elite 2 way game for a leht handed winger who's a 1 trick pony. Yeah, nice

@Carolina
can you stop getting better, please?

From a Habs fan.
Just give us your Fleury and Suzuki so they can play with our Suzuki and Fleury.

This is the same guy who said Hamilton is the best Dman in the league....not much credibility there.

Well, right handed. I did actually know that idk why I said left handed.... likely because it doesn't matter. Laine is a very 1 trick pony. He's got an elite shot, but his skating is meh, passing is meh, his defence is LOL, he's a 3rd liner with an ELITE shot. Necas has an above average shot, and might actually be one of the best skaters in the league. Defensively, he's consistently improving, he's exempt from the Seattle expansion draft, still on his ELC in a flat cap and he plays a much more valuable position. I would argue Necas has more value than 1 year of Laine at 6 mil before he gets extended for the moon

wow there is a lot here.
1) The laine trade: The 2 firsts and the 2 prospects i imagine would entice the jets but the 2 cap dumps wont. Maybe they take 1 but certainly not both. I like laine, and the fit with Aho and Tuevo would be fantastic but moving 2 top tier prospects and 2 1st is a hefty price.
2) Edm trade: Would much rather see the canes reisgn dougie than get that return for him. The team you have constructed no longer has any type of powerplay quarterback at the point.
3) Detroit: For Detroit to take 3 cap dumps u need to give them a reason to do it. They are dead set on being terrible so giving them veterans does nothing for them eventhough they are decent players on manageable contracts
