Oh my God that Buffalo trade is horrible. I'd consider giving up McLeod - and that's it. Risto is an overrated / overpayed RD that doesn't really make the Devils right side better. I'd give Walsh a try before Risto.

NJD wants nothing to do with Risto. Buffalo would have to pay NJD to take him.

Karl Alzner is an overpaid AHLer. Also, MTL would have to pay NJD to take him.

CAR won’t move two young pieces for Palmieri without moving salary. It would more likely be one veteran contract (ie, Nino, Gardiner), one young player (ie, Bean, Bokk) and a pick.
