    Good contract to Barzal.

But yea I rather ANA run 4-5 LHD a night then take Boychuck. I know having a balanced system and you know having players playing in correct positions is good. However, last I checked we are gonna struggle next season and as a fan I rather do it wo anymore big cap hits.

The perk is that if you're gonna suck might as well use the cap space to take bad contracts and assets. A lot of teams are gonna need to dump someone. It's supply and demand and there is a huge demand for cap relief and not a whole lot of teams with cap space. Upcharge those teams and get a first rounder and a A-/B+ prospect

why would winnipeg give up two 3rd round picks to pay Leddy 13 million in cash the next two seasons. It will cost assets to move his contract

You get my exact point. As I dont see Bode Wilde and a 3rd being the proper compensation for the NYI's past mistakes

I think since isles are taking back the same amount of dead money that's the thought. Honestly, depends on what your owners and GMs conversations are like. they could say f that they keep kesler on LTIR and wait to throw Boychuk there also for Wilde and a 1st. Or they don't want another 4M in real cash to pay and swap the 2 old men. It's a new world and I'm excited to see how this all goes down.

Pretty sure your NYI fan base has noted that Toews will get more than this going to arbitration
