You dreamin with the cap situation in the NHL. The value of Stamkos isn't that high. Not many team can absorbe his contract. He's 30 and he had many severe injury. For the NMC Stamkos came to MTL when he were looking for hes new contract.

In 12 years, Stamkos has been on pace for less than 40 goals exactly 3 times, and one of those he was on pace for 38. He’s literally a top 5 sniper in the league still.
