Hart has a better chance of being a long term starting goalie than Saros

I don't think you understand, this is bad for Philly not Nashville...

Im talking about the Weber deal. And the Hart deal... Philly has waited 30 years for that goalie they will not move him

I'm pretty sure if they get a good offer, they'll take the bait
Once Hart's entry level contract expires, it will take up A TON of cap space for about 7-8 years so that's something Philly will have to take into consideration before deciding if it's worth it long term

Doesn't matter he is the next Carey Price in Philly's eyes they would pay him 10 if they had too but I'm sure they won't have to. He seems pretty grateful for getting in young. I bet he signs 6-8 years for around 7.5 and that honestly worth way more than Forsberg and a 1st

It will be worth it. The other dude in this thread was not lying when he said 30. Years. Of. Waiting. Philly will give the kid Carey Price money if he wants it

I've literally held back even higher offers for him from the leafs just because I know what is coming. He will be a goaltending staple of the league for the next 12 years just like Lundqvist was for sooooo long.

What if the Leafs offer you Marner and Reily and Andersen and all the first rounders they have? Would you take that?

That’s a lot to give up for an aging Weber. And for an organization that needs prospects, it would be a bad move.

Actually, Hart is untouchable, there is nothing any rational team would offer that would pry him away. You could try, but it wouldn't work.

But the Leafs won't offer that, so the whole conversation is moot. Carter Hart is going anywhere.

I'm not a Philly fan, I'm a leafs fan. If I'm Philly it's not affordable 1 pending Ufa a number 1 LHD (which they don't need) and a play making winger (which they also really don't need) if I'm Philly it's an easy no and if I'm the leafs it's an easy no. The only way a player like Hart is moved is for a player like Makar someone of that caliber not saying it would have to be Makar but someone THAT impactful while the money is similar.

I'm not saying it will happen. It's just a possibility.

@minionhypers what did the Predators do to make you so mad at them? These trades do more damage to Nashville than the Joker does to Gotham.

Philly after years finally get a number 1 franchise goalie and you think there are just going to trade him away?

I can understand Philly not wanting to make this trade, but it is absolutely just awful for NSH too.

They're getting good value for him and avoid potentially having to eat up a lot of cap space for about 7-8 years

Its honestly not even a possibility. I mean, it's a possibility like the Oilers will trade McDavid or the Bruins will trade Pastrnak, or the Avs would trade Makar, or the Canucks would trade Petterson. Will never ever happen, especially when it's a goalie and it's Philadelphia.
