I'll give you credit for offering up 3 solid assets but with STL in win now mode I don't think they align well enough with what they are looking to do. Respect the effort. If that dude was available about every team in the NHL would try and get him

Edit: Just realized this was from STL's point of view lol. I guess live your heart out

That pick coming with Bozak has to be higher. 5M in salary for a 35 point guy (which will match his age during the season).

....besides that I have no doubt Bozak will list the 10 teams with cap space this off-season. Meaning no trade clause to the Wings.

Oh and the Wings would offer sheet Dunn up to $4,363,094M.

Wings decline, blues add in walman or hofer. Wings send back erne. Otherwise you keep the player and the cap hits we keep the cap space and the pick

It’s just an idea if signing Pietrangelo was the priority

Original pick to the Wings would still have to be higher. And then they'd need to retain 50% to make him of value to any playoff team given his cap hit and production. That's 2.5M that could be put towards a better asset--so again Wings would pass unless the pick to them is higher.

Wings decline take more then a 3rd to move that contract and you're not getting a 4th back possibly one of Erne/Perlini, Yzerman already said he's not moving picks in a deep draft he'll be looking to aquire more. And no freaking way is Pietrangelo taking 8 x 8 when he already turned down $7.7m per. And Armstrong moving Parayko makes zero sense.

Bozak isn’t a pure cap dump. He still holds value for a contender that needs some middle-6 center depth. Blues won’t have to pay to move Bozak, retain some cap, sure maybe. That’s why he won’t be going to DET.
