Myers one year bridge deal based off of Charlie O’Connors model projection for 1-2 deal between 1.5-1.7m. Works well with Niskanen’s 5.75m coming off the books the following season. Laughton is a rental and a winger so he adds little value to no value to the deal and Sanheim being a LD and not RD makes it a no from Winnipeg.

Laughton has quite a bit of value and won’t cost much to re-sign. The Sanheim part don’t think it matters if he plays LD or RD. You guys should be looking for any quality top 4 D no matter the side in a Laine trade.

Jay O’Brien likely yes bc he has hit a bit of a road bump in his development but still has a ton of raw skill. Ratcliffie potentially but the picks would have to be reworked most likely.

Jay O’Brien had some personal issues at Providence, but think he is over them, no? (Maybe there was something in last few weeks that I haven’t seen).

Yes he did have some personal issues at Providence left early to play in the BCHL but is now at Boston University for this year. Tons of skill and upside but his development may take longer then anticipated would probably be worth for the Devils.

I think NJD is a good spot for him - whether it’s in this deal or another one. From my understanding, his issues were very specific and there are some NJD players and personal that have dealt with same.
Jaycee liked this.
