Depends on what Sakic thinks of Krejci. He's a proven playoff performer and could be whats needed to get over the hump. As for the Boeser trade. From an organizational perspective you have Quinn-Carlo as your #1 d-pairing for the next 10 years. Carlo would be the perfect compliment to Quinn Hughes. And Carlo will never be a detriment to the cap.

I don't think you'd get Gaudette in that deal. The deal that I proposed was Boeser + Stetcher for Carlo + Kase. Stetcher could be replaces with a 3rd if you want.

Maybe. Kase doesn't replace Boeser obviously but may surprise as 2RW. Has tremendous speed and creates chances. The question here is Kase better than Gaudette? Not sure. Body of work for either player isn't enough to tell.

Boeser, Brock >> Carlo, Brandon
Gaudette, Adam [RFA Rights] > Kase, Ondrej
Replacement level player > Hughes, Cameron

What am I missing?

I do like the idea of having a guy like Krejci for one year on the Avs but, in this case, Sakic would be doing Boston a favor by taking that money for them so that could sign Petro and fit all the other guys in. So, that price is a bit high. If I'm trading for a guy like Krejci at his age, I'm probably not giving a first but maybe it could work since 2021 is a weaker draft year and Colorado is really trying to win a Cup.

Clearing cap room is obviously important for VAN, but they shouldn't do it by losing a trade. I could see Boeser for Carlo/Kase as the basis for a deal with maybe some picks involved, but trading Gaudette (cheap, young 3C) makes no sense when the Canucks have basically zero center depth among their prospects and very little cap room to sign a 3C in free agency.

Not enough for BB but not terribly far off.

Col also has no need for Krejci as they are set at center both short and long term. Until they see what they have in Bowers they likely aren't trading for any, but there are a TON of teams trying to win now that need Centers that you could choose

Leaves a gaping on the right side if Pietrangelo doesn’t get signed.

Krejci potentially puts Colorado over the top. One year left on his contract. The price to pay isn't that significant. Krejci is better than Coleman and Coodrow for TB and they both returned 1sts. TB in the cup. Any GM makes this move if they believe they are true cup contenders.

They would both play significant minutes. When game is on the line you play them together. By doing something like this you don't lose Debrusk.

The Avs are already a good enough team to win, forcing players on them that they don't need still isn't justifiable.

Like if this is just the fantasy you want to live more power to you but its in no way realistic. There would be 5+ teams that would pay for him and Bos shouldn't care where he goes. Plus if you are comparing him to the TBL move you had better be retaining 50%

Krejci is a proven playoff performer. If you are serious about winning the cup and have cap space and potential to add a bonafied #2C than you do it. Or you flip him and Kadri as 2/3C

This is what team do. You think a potential late 1st round draft pick isn’t worth it? Avalanche are loaded with young talent. They don’t need anymore long term projects. It’s win now mode for them I would think.

So you don't think Krejci is a good player? There is no way you've watched him play more than a handful of games in your life.

You're ability to not make a single valid point, and completely miss every bit of common sense I have said is staggering. You're a real nutter man

Would David Krejci make the Avalanche a better team? Yes or No? The point I'm making is simple. You don't watch enough to understand the game. I can tell that you probably only watch 20-30 Avalanche regular season games and seem like the kind of guy that watches most but not all playoff games. You will miss a game 5 for an escape room game night with your pals.

Lmao you are so insecure that someone letting you know your clearly nonsensical trade is nonsense rattles you this hard where you go into a spiral of not only doing mental gymnastics to validate it but make up fan fic about me? Get some sunshine bud
