Drastically overestimating what Murray will command, I suspect. Grig is gonna get playing time, it was a condition of him signing. PLD isn't signing for that little, nor is Granlund. I don't think your philosophy is wildly wrong, but I don't see this being feasible. And for the love of god, shoot Harrington into the sun.

Granlund and Stasny seem like good fits for CBJ. Granlud probably gets more but Stasny is a good low cost stop gap.

Counter offer: Columbus pays a 3rd to get Stastny.
They buy out Wennberg themselves and Vegas signs him as a UFA.

Kings aren't even competing this year, if we want Murray we'll take him next year as a free agent.

We'll see what Granlund draws. He's looking for a long term contract, probably in the 5x5M range. Is he worth that? I don't know, but weirder things have happened. I don't expect him to take a 1 yr deal for less than 4M unless it's literally the only thing out there.

I think Vegas can move Stastny no problem. Maybe they eat a small amout of cap but its only for one year anyway. His actual salary is less than his cap so there is a lot of incentive here for teams.

Hes not worth a 1st or anything but if the goal is simpy to move him and get as little cap coming back as possible, i think they have no prob doing that and will get a half decent pick in return. All that without hvaing to buyout Wennberg.

Frankly Columbus should just buyout Wennberg amd be done with it. Like you said his buyout cap is peanuts anyway. Although they should only buy him out if they need that cap to sign someone. Otherwise just keep him as he isnt a bad player, simply overpaid.
