waiting for Benning to make a movemissed Jake first time

Created by: kingkanuck
Team: 2020-21 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 23, 2020
Published: Sep. 23, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Nearly $18M in cap space for next year, but depends on how much NJD would like Demko, Bastian is a nice add for VAN but not crucial. Yes, I know the roster size is 23 players but let the coaches decide which 2 players go to the minors.

Loui doesn't waive for NJ and you don't want Brendan Smith.

Antoine Roussel and a third for future consideration, still might not get it done. The amount of teams who need a cap dump is crazy and the Kings and the few teams with cap space who aren't competing will be taking the best offers they can get.

Red Wings decline. Baertschi is a bad contract I know you are retaining but he's an AHL player for a reason. He's older than Erne and he is not good if this was earlier in his career I would have probably said yes to this but its a big no. Red wings would want picks to take on an ahl player with that cap.

Wings have plenty of cap space so retaining on baertschi doesn't add any value. Baertschi plus 2022 3rd round for erne works just fine for me

100%. This is always overlooked whenever people are dumping contracts to Ottawa, NJ, LA, etc. Lots of teams want to do it, so they will have to compete with each other. Almost like Vegas at the expansion draft.

Leafs take this deal, as long as a reasonable contract extension with Stetcher is agreed to.
Johnsson is a good player on a decent deal, but he's a luxury surplus on the Leafs current roster that is badly in need of RD.
