Your values are way off...
For the Laine trade, what is the 1-2 assets that the Jets can point to as the reason to make the move? It's a bunch of spare parts, and b-level prospects for an elite goal scorer.
For that Pesce trade, you are getting a 26 year old top pairing RHD. that would solidify the defense for the foreseeable future. You will not get him for JVR. The fact that you have the Canes adding is far-fetched.
For the Hank trade, sure... if you have the budget for him as a backup, there are worse professionals to bring in, but you can get a more reliable G for less money. (Hank has struggled in recent years.)

Allen just got a 3rd for a 4.5 mil cap hit. Hank has performed identically to Allen over the past 2 seasons, it’d cost similarly to acquire him.

@sagecoll Allen had a .927 this past regular season, Hank had a .905, and its not the performance for why the NYR will buy him out, its the contract along with the performance, they already have Shesterkin and Georgiyev, (Yes i know I butchered the names) its more so that they want to free up cap along with get rid of assets they dont need. Unless they believe that one of the two young goalies need more time in lower level leagues in which case they would not buy out Lundqvist

About Laine, i modified it a bit idk if it updated, but I switched Laberge for Ratcliffe, and the second next year to a first next year. About Pesce, I dont believe he is a top pairing defenseman, he had 18 points in 60 some games this year, for giving up JVR for him, The Hurricanes have been reported to be a tea mthat leans more on advanced stats then the eye test. JVR Advanced stats are actually quite good, however personally if we are shopping for a goal scorer while we have one on the 3rd/4th line, then why keep him, I'd rather get a d-man back to replace Braun and give his spot to a young kid who can get some experience and see if they can produce at the same if not better level. And about Hank, that was a personal touch for me, looking at that goalie combo no matter how Hank has played in recent years looks scary. Maybe im bias bc I am a goalie, but that was more of a personal touch for me

Reportedly Carolina is an advanced stats heavy team, and JVR Advanced stats are actually quite good. see my response to ALitteral if you want my explanation on Pesce

You may not believe it, but that doesnt change the fact that he plays almost 22mins a night including over 3mins a night shorthanded. He is actually a good defensive player, which are exceedingly few and far between. I'm not saying that they wouldn't take a chance on JVR. Rather, there's no way that they would take JVR for Pesce 1;1. If you can get the Canes to send him here for that return, you deserve a job in the Flyers front office.

JVR has had at least a 54 CorsiF in the past 5 years and 4 of them were at least 57 CorsiF and 2 were above 60 CorsiF, the guys drives play, and the canes have been known to be advanced stats guys, Pesces Realative Corsi has been negative 4 out of the 5 years he has been in the league while JVRs has never been below 6 in the past 9 years. Maybe the Hurricanes would want more scoring and believe JVR needs a change of scenery to get his groove back. Also next time why don't you offer your thoughts on the trade and what would make it more even rather than just saying that it was bad. I would like to actually hear peoples thoughts on the trade and have a discussion about it

I knew he was slightly more defensive minded, but I didn't know that he was known as their "shutdown guy", I guess I thought he had less value than he actually does, either way, I would be willing to add to the trade to get Pesce, half bc I want JVRs 7 mil off the books and now half bc I actually think Pesce would be good for us lmao

I mean the value is not close. JVR is extremly overpaid for a long term and has shown regression. I mean he was a 7 mil healthy scratch in the playoffs. Pesce is a top pairing defensive defensman on an extremely good contract. The value you would have to give far exceeds what you are offering. It is crazy that you have the canes giving a pick along with JVR. A more appropraite offer imo would be one of your young wingers. Honeslty do not think there is a trade between the canes and philly that would make sense. If the canes trade pesce its for a top line 60ish point winger- that is close to his value

Even if WPG accepts that trade, I wouldn't do it. A lot of depth and guys on cheap contracts gone to bring in a guy who will need a big raise next year. The JVR trade, you'd have to add in a lot more for Pesce.

TK is the Pesce deal, and maybe the only one the Canes do. And despite his playoff slump, Flyers have no interest in trading TK right now. So you are right, there is no deal to be had. Pesce is a player that would be a great fit for Philly, but both teams are trying to take the next step. Roster building wise it doesn't make sense for Philly to trade TK as we want more sniping wingers, and at this moment TK is the only player we have that resembles that at this time. Trading him away just doesn't make sense. Therefore, no Pesce for us, unless we found some third party that trades you a sniping winger, and we give them prospects, but thats far-fetched.

Yes I would have to agree TK was probably the guy I would have asked for. If pesce gets moved, and I doubt he does, it will probably be a trade like for Nylander. His importance to the canes is just so underrated
