We're really not interested in Justin Holl. We know you're trading him to get rid of $2 million in cap.

Is Hronek that good? I'm not saying he isn't, but I have heard he's a good young piece, but that acquisition cost is for a stud

But like your forward group is going nowhere imo if you draft Drysdale and keep Hronek

Sounds like too much. How much better is he than Holl in the short term and Lily in the long run?

Justin Holl’s gap control and shot suppression is impeccable and the intangibles he brings to the table is just what the Ducks need to move from pretender to contender. And for only the 66th overall pick? Christmas came early in Anaheim!

Oh I agree but hronek is 22 not even off his entry level deal. Hronek and seider will anchor that blue line for a decade. Just doesn't make alot of sense to move him unless its something crazy. I'm still holding out for Rossi in this draft.

And who are you trading to fit in Hroneks salary after next year??

I'd rather trade Johnsson, sign Lehner/Markstrom and offersheet Cernak and sign DeMelo

Rielly - DeMelo
Muzzin - Cernak
Dermott - Holl
Lehtonen

Why are you signing Markstrom. He was the inferior goalie to Andersen until this year and he isn't that young.

He's not Hughes or Makar. But he's as good as Dunn and Marino.

Minors still working on his defensive game. First call up for injury that will inevitably happen to Rielly and Muzzin

You’re light on Petro and hronek.

Why does engvall always get moved for a late pick? I thought he looked pretty good.

Because we're so damned tight on the cap that many feel that saving 500k for a replacement level player is worth the cap savings. I'm not convinced one way or the other

Also do you really think it's a good idea to have your 3 and 4c be like 38 and 42? And you traded Engvall who can play C in a pinch.

Seems like a terrible idea

Hronek's already Top 4 quality, and has been improving every season. He's also far and away the best D the Wings have, a right-shot RHD, good puck mover, and is only 22.
Trading Hronek would leave Detroit with DeKeyser (a #4 D at best) as their best defenseman which would guarantee next season would be even more embarrassing than this one.
Being that Liljegren isn't likely to be as good as Hronek (in my opinion), and Detroit can't draft a D prospect that would fill that gap with Pit's 1st, the trade doesn't make sense from the Wings' perspective.
