If Strome is good why would NYR trade him?
Answer: its more likely than not he’s heavily bumped his stats and value by having his first ever good year, coincidently he played along Panarin.
Their GM understands his value is high right now and he likely will not repeat the year so trade him for as much value now as he can. Either A) they trade strome for a good return and he fails making them look genius or B) they trade strome for a good return and he continues his success but they got a good return and really don’t need him anymore so it doesn’t matter

It’s kinda a win win for the rangers unless someone lowballs him and he accepts

zito almost robbed the penguins but talked himself out of it as apparently he does not want to go through a financial headache should hornqvist get injured lul. Also seems Hornqvist never fully agreed to the trade

Rangers can't afford him. He's a 40 point C off Panarin.

wanna know the even worse nes about trading for storme? if a teams signs him to a 7 year deal, it'll cost a lot more than the 4.75 thats listed above. it might cost maybe over 6 mil.
