Massive overpayment for Nylander. Columbus isn’t making that trade. Texier is off the table, he was Columbus best rookie last year and potential future 2nd line center.

while I disagree that it's a massive overpayment, I understand why CBJ would want to keep Texier, and would probably decline

A 1st, starting goalie, middle 6 wing and top 6 wing for a 2nd line center is a massive overpayment. Sorry.... but there’s no chance Columbus even considered this trade.

Pretty sure Minnesota would break their phone hanging it up. Isn't Ericson Ek essentially their 1c right now??

A first, starting goalie, two third line wings, for a 2nd line center / elite 1st line wing and a 3rd pair D with top 4 upside.

I agree that you don't consider based on the team's internal valuation of the players.

According to hockey reference the only times he took any significant amount of faceoffs were aged 20 and 21 and then a little last year with buffalo. And he was always in low 40%s

From age 22-28 he took very few faceoffs. He hasn't really ever been a consistent NHL c
