Don't really see a point to the Yandle deal. He hasn't been that good in recent years.

Kings would rather have Carters cap hit of 5mil for 2 more years than JVR's 7mil hit for 3 more years. By a long shot.

Find another place to dump.

He's had 1 season where he didn't hit 30 goals(27 is close enough) idk I think I'd consider it 1 for 1. Then we can trade Iafallo and hopefully get a 1st for him.

Don't forget that Vilardi, Mikey Anderson, MacDermid, Kempe, JAD, Hults, Durzi, Phillips and Cal Peterson all will need new contracts just as Carter and Brown's contracts run out. That 7mil of JVR would be a large obstacle for players that will likely need decent raises. Some more than others, sure, but they will still add up.

The goal-scoring doesn't do much for the Kings in the short-term because they aren't planning on contending for a Cup. The organization is likely much more focused on getting the kids experience and letting the team fall where they may in the standings. Its the extra year of the contract that is the reason the Kings say no.

No argument there. However, none of those player will need huge contracts that will break the bank. Kings probably have the best cap situation long term in the entire league.

I don't care about this trade one way or the other. Was just throwing a point out there

Because I am a Spittin Chiclets fan and I want to see Kevin Hayes and Yandle on the same team, also Ghost goes back home to Florida to get a fresh start and they get younger on D and save some $$.
Pretty logical imo even tho I dont think it happens
