The only way the selection will be a shock is if it isn’t Stutzle OR Byfield. I’m not going to lose sleep on which of those two LA decides to draft, but it’s been hinted that Yannetti likes Byfield.

Well LA did apparently send a lot of their promising prospects to Germany. Not sure that necessarily confirms Stutzle is the pick since I don't think they sent them to the team he plays on, but still kinda interesting

AEG owns both the Kings and the DEL club that the kids were loaned to. They are only doing training camp and preseason games. They are not allowed to play in regular season games.

They did, but that doesn't mean anything. Kids need to play.

I still think Byfield and Stutzle have similar ceilings, I might even say Stutzle will be a better offensive player. But as a LW where as Byfield will be a centre. Stutzle vs Byfield will basically be Pastrnak vs Barkov imo.

Hell to the NAH. Perfetti should go 7-8. My list of BPA without looking at team needs:
1) Laf
2) Byfield
3) Stutzle (2 and 3 r equal imo but I’ll go centre over wing at 2)
4) Raymond
5) Drysdale
6) Rossi
7) Holtz
8) Perfetti
9) Sanderson
10) Askarov
11) Lundell

Rossi is hard to judge cuz he is one of the oldest players in the draft and played on a stacked team. But i still think he will be a 1C but idk if he will be an elite 1C. He could project as a level similar or in between Seguin and Monahan. But idk if he will ever be a top 10-15 centre in the league

No. Reports from just after the lottery suggested that due to the German connection and the positional needs of the Kings, that they were leaning towards Stutzle. After the Yannetti interview came out in The Athletic last month, it seemed more likely that they were leaning towards Byfield. At this point it's pretty much a coin flip and anyone's guess, but my inference from all the press that has come out of the Kings organization is that they are leaning towards Byfield. There's still nearly 2 weeks left until the draft, so there's plenty of time for that to change again.
