Wild aren't helping lightning with their cap unless it includes getting Cirelli.

Rutta gets resigned over Bogo. The guy has proved in 2 games he's worth keeping around next year.

sure they are if they still have no, or best case scenario only have one, top 6 center

Johnson is a 3rd line center on a good team. Wild don't need more wings, they need a top 6 center. Just because it's better than what you have isn't a reason to spend assets to get it. The goal is to get to a championship level, Johnson doesn't accomplish that.

he's actually second-line Center, but you have guys like stamkos, point, and Cirelli on your team, he would be a 4th line center, good thing he can play on the wing
also 14 minutes on ice is way more difference than 16 minutes on ice or 18 minutes

Interesting trade with Buffalo. Regarding Minnesota, I think if any deal goes down between the two teams it will include Stalock or Hunt given their ability to pay consistent minutes and low price.

the buffalo trade came up with them getting a 2nd line center, yea they got staal but I think they still want to get Cirelli to replace O'Reilly, and some buffalo fans weren't really using Casey Mittelstadt, if they were, he would be in the 4th line. but I do believe Casey Mittelstadt will be very good playing with a lot of minutes and learning from guys like Stamkos.

Tyler Johnson on the other hand will be a locker room guy who can score 50 points if he gets the minutes, he's not your long-term replacement but he will do fine

Yeah, I just don't see the Wild using assets on a mid 6 C. My one thought on Cirelli to Buffalo is what happens to Cozens? Probably just moves to wing but I wonder if thats the best use of assets, but getting Cirelli definitely placates Jack.

Buffalo says absolutely to that trade. Mitts is god awful. Cirelli is one if not the best defensive Centers in the game

So I’d think for the first year it would be wise to play him with Staal on the wing and slowly transition him to C during the year if Staal slows down and can’t handle the C position bc of speed (or something like that). Staal will only be here for 1 year so that a perfect transition to either make Cirelli 2C and Cozens 3c (for now)

I'm glad you like it, I think this will work for both teams, Casey Mittelstadt gets to learn from the best so that he can get better while erasing the bust label, tampa get the 8th pick and Buffalo gets a long term second line Center sense Ryan O'Reilly and a 3rd round pick

I wouldn't put Mittelstadt at a bust just yet, if he can learn from guys like stamkos, he would shed that bust label

Buffalo fans tend to be very hyperbolic and not watch the game very well.
Mittelstadt has 39 pts at 21 yo, Cirelli had 11.
Mittelstadt had 25 pts in 35 AHL games, Cirelli had 37 in 51 games.
I guess we are trading one bust for another, LOL.
So let's drop all of the picks and make one for one,

I do not get to watch the Bolts much, so I am watching them in the playoffs. So my obversions:
Cirelli is certainly a Selke candidate soon. He is anticipating the action well.
At the time I wanted Botterill to pick Rutta off of waivers.
I think it is obvious now why Bogosian was sent to the minors. Wow from the Sabres to getting your name on the Cup.
Can I keep Mittelstadt and give you something else? He is not a bust.
Samuel Morin, Emile Poirier and Morgan Klimchuk are first round busts from 2013, 19 games and 1 pt among them. Casey is not a bust yet.

Cirelli is a defensive-minded player who can score and gets gritty when he have to. if he gets better on his faceoffs, he will win the Selke, in fact he's 4th in Selke voting behind the three guys you expected to win selke
